The Robotics Team will be at the State Competition @ Mitchell, tomorrow, February 25th.

Duties include daily lifeguarding, cleaning restrooms, cleaning park shelter house, upkeep of the beach and the park area by the beach. You will be required to take lifeguard training courses and become certified. Training paid by the City. Must be at least 16 years of age. Pay based upon experience. Hours negotiable.  Tomorrow, February 22nd, Eureka will host the annual Math Counts Competition in the Multi. Students from grades 6th, 7th, and 8th will participate.

There will be an informational track meeting this Wednesday morning at 8:15 am in Mrs. Weismantel's room. This is for anyone in grades 6-12 who are interested in track. If you can't make it and are planning to go out for track please see Mrs. Weismantel, Mr. Connell, or Mr. Severson.

**March 26 – South Dakota Youth Trooper Academy – Juniors/Seniors – Sponsored by the SD Highway Patrol – Monday, June 26 – Friday, June 30, 2017, in Pierre, SD.  See Mrs. Mettler if interested.

**Resource Conservation Speech Contest – 9th—12th grade.  Topic “Soil Health: What Will You Leave?”  Cash prizes totaling $2,300.  Must be completed by March 25, 2017.  See Mrs. Mettler for entry form.

**South Dakota Association of Conservation District is offering 3 - $500 scholarships to seniors who are going into an agricultural related field.  Application is due on or before March 31, 2017.  Please see Mrs. Mettler for an application.

**April 1 – The Scottish Rite Foundation – Seniors – May attend a college, university, or post-secondary of their choice – awarding 5-$200 book grants.  See Mrs. Mettler for an application.

**April 3 – Valley Telecommunications Scholarship – Seniors – must live within the Valley Telecommunications exchange areas.  See Mrs. Mettler for an application.

**April 15 – Horatio Alger Association Scholarship – Seniors – Application form is online at www.scholars.horatioalger.org --- need to see Mrs. Mettler about this form before you apply

**Deadlines will vary – Sioux Falls Community Foundation – Seniors – Over 50 different scholarship opportunities are available to students who will be attending college, vocational, or technical school – not every scholarship will be available to you.  Awards range from $250 - $5,000 and some can be renewed for up to three years!  I will give each senior a copy and you may also access it and apply directly at www.sfacf.org

**Applications open January 1, 2017 and close March 15, 2017 – Build Dakota Scholarship Fund – Students must be interested in pursuing technical institute training in a qualified program in South Dakota – apply through the Build Dakota website – www.builddakotascholarships.com

**Healthcare Careers Camp – June 18th – 23rd on the campus of USD.  Sophomores, juniors, and seniors in the fall of 2017 are eligible to attend.  Registration materials can be found at www.usd.edu/med/health-careers-camp.cfm  Must be postmarked no later than April 1, 2017.  Camp tuition is $100.

**Health Professions Career Camp – July 11th – 14th on the campus of SDSU.  Juniors and seniors  in the fall of 2017 are eligible to attend.  Registration materials can be found at www.sdstate.edu/nursing/health-camp-brookings  Camp enrollment is limited and filled on a first come, first-served basis.  Registration fee $100.

The Happy Camper Book Fair will begin Monday, February 13th and run through Friday, February 17th. Hours are Monday thru Wednesday 8:30-4:00 and Thursday and Friday 8:30-7:00 PM.
