The Happy Camper Book Fair will run through Friday, February 17th. Hours are Thursday and Friday 8:30-7:00 PM.

**February 16, 2017 – FEM Electric Cooperative Scholarship – Seniors – must be a child of FEM Electric – See Mrs. Mettler for an application.

**February 20 – Youth Business Adventure – Juniors and Sophomores – University of South Dakota – June 18 – 23 – See Mrs. Mettler or Mrs. Schnabel for more information and an application. 

**February 24, 2017 – POET Scholarship – Seniors – Full-time student attending any South Dakota college, university, or technical school this fall.  Application available at www.poet.com/scholarship

**Avera St. Luke’s is offering SIX (6)- $500 scholarships to high school seniors interested in pursuing a health-related career.  Applications are due on or before March 7, 2017.  Please see Mrs. Mettler for an application.

**FEM Electric will be sponsoring three students for a once in a lifetime trip to Washington, DC.  Juniors and seniors who live in the service area of FEM Electric are able to apply.  Application is due March 10, 2017.  See Mrs. Mettler for application.

**March 10 – Curtis Marvin Holn Scholarship – Seniors – Must be attending a college or technical school in South Dakota.  Preference will be given to applicants pursuing studies in history, political science, or water resources.  See Mrs. Mettler for application.

**March 15, 2017 – Bellator Titans Scholarship – Seniors – attend SD College or tech school, resident of SD, and demonstrate financial need and motivated to succeed – See Mrs. Mettler for application

**March 16, 2017 – SD Fire Service Scholarship – Seniors – son or daughter of any member of a fire department in South Dakota that has 100% membership in SD Firefighters Association – See Mrs. Mettler for application

**March 26 – South Dakota Youth Trooper Academy – Juniors/Seniors – Sponsored by the SD Highway Patrol – Monday, June 26 – Friday, June 30, 2017, in Pierre, SD.  See Mrs. Mettler if interested.

**Resource Conservation Speech Contest – 9th—12th grade.  Topic “Soil Health: What Will You Leave?”  Cash prizes totaling $2,300.  Must be completed by March 25, 2017.  See Mrs. Mettler for entry form.

**South Dakota Association of Conservation District is offering 3 - $500 scholarships to seniors who are going into an agricultural related field.  Application is due on or before March 31, 2017.  Please see Mrs. Mettler for an application.

**April 1 – The Scottish Rite Foundation – Seniors – May attend a college, university, or post-secondary of their choice – awarding 5-$200 book grants.  See Mrs. Mettler for an application.

**April 3 – Valley Telecommunications Scholarship – Seniors – must live within the Valley Telecommunications exchange areas.  See Mrs. Mettler for an application.

**April 15 – Horatio Alger Association Scholarship – Seniors – Application form is online at www.scholars.horatioalger.org --- need to see Mrs. Mettler about this form before you apply

**Deadlines will vary – Sioux Falls Community Foundation – Seniors – Over 50 different scholarship opportunities are available to students who will be attending college, vocational, or technical school – not every scholarship will be available to you.  Awards range from $250 - $5,000 and some can be renewed for up to three years!  I will give each senior a copy and you may also access it and apply directly at www.sfacf.org

**Applications open January 1, 2017 and close March 15, 2017 – Build Dakota Scholarship Fund – Students must be interested in pursuing technical institute training in a qualified program in South Dakota – apply through the Build Dakota website – www.builddakotascholarships.com

**Healthcare Careers Camp – June 18th – 23rd on the campus of USD.  Sophomores, juniors, and seniors in the fall of 2017 are eligible to attend.  Registration materials can be found at www.usd.edu/med/health-careers-camp.cfm  Must be postmarked no later than April 1, 2017.  Camp tuition is $100.

**Health Professions Career Camp – July 11th – 14th on the campus of SDSU.  Juniors and seniors  in the fall of 2017 are eligible to attend.  Registration materials can be found at www.sdstate.edu/nursing/health-camp-brookings  Camp enrollment is limited and filled on a first come, first-served basis.  Registration fee $100.
