MORNING MEMO Thursday, October 14, 2021 HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO Aubrey Abernathey! Sergeant Wientjes will be here tomorrow in the DDN room at 10:40 a.m. to talk with anyone who has expressed interest in the National Guard. It’s SPOOKY season and the EHS Student Council challenges you to get into the spirit of Halloween and dress up on October 29th. The Student Council will judge costumes for the PreK-12th Grade students and staff, and prizes will be given to the best costumes! Consent forms have been distributed to all students in those grades. If you did not receive a consent form, please see Mrs. Wolf. 2nd grade is learning about changing matter in science class. They used a variety of materials to build bridges.

Last week the 8th graders had been discussing the environmental impact of plastics and how long they last in a landfill. They created an environmentally safe plastic made from starch.

The 7th graders recently experimented with different kids of chips to calculate the calories. The 7th graders liked this lab because they were allowed to have fires in school.

Tomorrow, Thursday October 14th, the lunch menu has changed to Chili and Cinnamon Rolls. As food shortages continue nationwide, we may have to change menu's from time to time. We will get the information out as soon as possible when we have a menu change. Thank you.

Kindergarten finished the week of field trips at the Library and the Bank! We loved learning about our community and our community helpers!!

Kindergarten toured the Main Attraction and the Post Office today as part of their Community lessons in Social Studies!
