The Eureka School Board will hold a special board meeting with the Bowdle School Board tomorrow, October 29th in Eureka. The Eureka Board will meet at 5:00 PM in the board meeting room to hold an executive session and then meet with the Bowdle Board at 5:30 PM in the Multi-Purpose Room. We will then give a tour to the Bowdle School Board of the facility and then have a discussion with their board about a potential joint powers agreement. This is not a town hall style meeting, this is a meeting between the boards to discuss the potential for an agreement. If Bowdle chooses to continue discussion with the Eureka School District, we will then hold a town hall meeting in the future to address questions from patrons.

Reminder school is dismissed at 12:30 today due to PK-12th grade parent-teacher conferences from 1:00 PM - 7:00 PM. In addition, if you have not returned your 4-day school week survey please bring them back by the end of this week. We want to put together the results for our regular November School Board meeting.
The Book Fair will be open today from 1 pm to 7 pm! It will also be open tomorrow from 8 am to 8:45 am! It will be closed after school on Thursday and closed all day on Friday. It will be open next week every day from 8 am to 8:20 am and after school from 3:30 pm to 4:00 pm.

Students are invited to submit works of art to the Governor’s Student Art Competition
All South Dakota students in kindergarten through 12th grade are invited to participate in the South Dakota Governor’s Student Art Competition. Submissions should be sent in by art teachers, classroom teachers, home-school teachers, or legal guardians. The submission deadline is Nov. 4. If anyone in grades 7-12 would like to submit any artwork, see Ms. Jundt.
The competition is coordinated by the South Dakota Arts Council.

Good morning. Here is a few schedule changes for the week. There is NO 4th/5th GBB practice today. On Thursday, the MS FB team will play against Herreid/Selby Area in Eureka at 5:00 PM. On Friday, the middle school football game against Warner as been CANCELLED. The youth football program (grades 3 - 5) will play against Warner's youth team at the field at 5:00 PM. Go Thunder!

Due to injuries from Faulkton players, there will NOT be a JV football game in Faulkton tomorrow. Also, 4th/5th grade girls basketball starts tomorrow with practice in Bowdle. Mrs. Nelson will take the 4th/5th grade girls to Bowdle and have a schedule for the girls tomorrow.
Here is a schedule update as we have had a few questions: There is not JH/JV FB jamboree in Eureka tomorrow. The cross country meet in Gettysburg on Saturday starts at 10:00 AM. Next Monday, we have Middle School & C VB in Ipswich starting at 5:30. We also have a JV Football game in Faulkton at 5:30 PM on Monday. Picture day has moved from Tuesday, Sept 24th to Thursday, October 4th. On Wednesday, the cross country meet in Faulkton has changed their start time to 11:00 AM. That is what we have for changes right now. If more come up we will keep you updated.
Saturday, September 21 the Thunder Volleyball team will participate in the Ipswich Subway Invite. The tournament will only be live streaming the main gym and the Thunder will play their pool play in the Auxiliary gym. Depending how they do in pool play will determine if they play in the main gym for the final game. The schedule is attached. Good luck Thunder!
